A year later, I asked a different question: “Where is Rosa now?” I drew Woman, Birds, and Stars, which I read as her spirit free, communicating, and existing among the stars. I asked if she was happy and drew Heart.

The second story is much lighter. In our previous home, our internet suddenly stopped working. I pulled cards and got Mice, Snake, and Stars. That same day, a technician explained that rodents had chewed through external wiring, causing a widespread outage. The cards were astonishingly literal: mice damaging cables, resulting in lost connectivity.

Another time, one of my sons drew Sun and Stars for his daily cards and went outside to play. He later came home covered in a rash. He had an outdoor allergy reaction we never fully identified. Looking back, the cards were clear: Sun as outdoors and exposure, Stars as spread. While writing about the Stars, another perfect synchronicity occurred. My best friend Joe texted me from an outdoor concert. Listening to rock stars on stage while sitting under the stars. It could not have been more fitting.

When the Stars is surrounded by positive cards, it brings optimism, hope, and amplifies the best qualities of those cards, placing success within reach. When surrounded by negative cards, it softens them slightly and offers solutions and hope, though it does not erase their meaning. In certain contexts, the Stars can even highlight negative outcomes as warnings, as shown in my earlier story.

Overall, the Stars is a positive card.
